Earthquake!

So those of you on the east coast, share your Earthquake stories.
I was eating breakfast when it hit. My mom was wondering what it was-- I knew it was an earthquake, and I told her. I dashed under the table, she told me to go outside instead so we did. We waited a few seconds and it was over. Mom overreacted and started crying because "our world is falling apart." (Seriously, that's what she said.) Some stuff fell off the shelves but nobody was hurt.
And around six hours after the quake there was a small aftershock. I didn't even have time to get to a hiding place before it ended.

Ptep, you may want to talk to your mom or something. See if she's okay... she doesn't sound like she handled it well...

She's all right, it was just her initial reaction to the quake. She's lived on the east coast all her life and hasn't been in many earthquakes.
Anyway, just had another aftershock. These things always seem to happen while I'm eating; The initial quake while I was eating brunch, the first aftershock while I was eating a sandwich, and the latest aftershock while I was grabbing a midnight snack.
